Does IUGR increase the risk of early labor?

IUGR can not be the reason for early labor, however, your gynecologist may recommend inducing labor before the due date if your baby stops growing in the uterus and if issues occur with your placenta or umbilical cord. Because the placenta or umbilical cord is responsible to provide blood, nutrients, and oxygen to the fetus. In some cases, healthcare providers recommend C-sections also.
